Wow! This worked for me too. When I plugged my TV back in it automatically came on. That’s the only difference between what the poster did and what I had to do

by

Mine keeps going to optimizing system storage and applications then it cuts off an says fire stick then Amazon and do it all again

by

If your fire stick won’t turn on, you need to Disconnect the power cord on the back of the device or from a power outlet, then plug it back in. You can also use your remote to restart your device. Hold the Select and Play / Pause buttons at the same time for five seconds. Or, select Restart from Settings> Device> Fire TV menu. I had the same issue. I called Amazon and they provided me with the following suggestion that worked.

Keep your tv on and unplug the tv from the wall. Hold the power button for 30 seconds (while the tv is on and unplugged from the wall). After 30 seconds replug the tv and turn it back on. Go to the fire stick input channel and it should be working.

Many users of fire sticks complained that their fire sticks won’t turn on.

I was facing the same issue, here I describe the full guide how I turn on my Firestick at my own & what are the possible reasons for occurring this issue

Before going ahead we need to know all the possible reasons for occurring this issue.

  • Power Cord Not Inserted Properly
  • HDMI Ports or Cables Damaged or Loose
  • Charging port or charging cable damaged
  • Power adaptor damaged

*

All possible steps to turn on the fire stick:

  • For mine this one works, my power cord is not inserted properly. I unplugged the power cord & held the power button then plugged it back on, actually it's working for me.
  • Sometimes HDMI ports get damaged or HDMI cables inserted but loose, unplug the HDMI cables once then reinsert them, I hope this will work for you if yes then please leave your comment.
  • Sometimes your charging cable gets damaged, tries to change the charging cable, or if possible then also changes the charging adaptor.
  • Try to check your fire stick in another device, sometimes this will get you an idea where the problem actually occurred.
  • Try to restart your device. Hold the Select and Play / Pause buttons to restart the device or you can go to settings> Device> Fire TV menu>Restart.
  • I hope this will surely solve your Fire stick won’t turn on problem, if not then visit the website to contact Fire stick support experts.

You might want to try your Amazon Fire Stick in another device. It could be that the HDMI port that it was plugged into could have gone bad.

Try it in another device that you have access to that has an HDMI port on it. And change out the charging cable with another one that you know works. Pinning down problems with an electronic device sometimes takes some extra "creative work arounds".

If all else fails, I'd contact Amazon support for Amazon Devices. Hope you get your Fire Stick working again!

Was just experiencing the same problem. I finally figured out my power adapter had gone out. Swapped it with the one I charge my phone with and viola. Powered right up. I thought maybe the dongle adapter had gone out because that happened to a friend of mine so I think that’s a common problem as well.

If you’re tried to:

(I’m assuming that you have an Amazon account and that you’ve REGISTERED and activated your Fire Stick)

1) Reset it to factory defaults

2) Tried another “power cable” to see if the one you’re using is defective

3) If you’re using the HDMI “dongle adapter”, remove it and try to plug the Fire Stick directly

into the HDMI port.

4) Failing everything else, I’d contact Amazon Support and see if they can get you up and running.

After all, those folks deal with those all day long and might have some “tips/tricks” that no one has mentioned online.

I’m sincerely sorry that it’s giving you grief, “electronic frustration” is one of the most aggravating situations with which to deal……..

This isn't Amazon.

The stupidist advice given on here. 1st, I cant get the %#*@ thong on to enter an account. 2nd, Same as number one, it wont come on dumbass. 3rd, I am using the “dongle adapter” because I cant plug it in without it. 4th, contact Amazon Support? Your a phucking genius. Did you think of that all by yourself? 4TH AND FINAL, Try another “power cable”. The only advice that might work for some. I guess a broken clock is right twice a day. Dont waste your last right answer. It did not work for me.

There are two versions of the third-generation Amazon Kindle. The Kindle Wi-Fi costs $139, while the Kindle that has both Wi-Fi and 3G and costs $189. The 3G-only Kindle 2 cost previously just as much. Please remember the third generation Kindle is not only a minor update, display improvement or a color refresh, just like we have seen in the case of Kindle DX (Graphite). It can be seen from a distance that there is a lot of work and attention in this eBook reader. This might show that the company thinks its hardware strategy to be very important, in complementing its software (the Kindle apps for Mac, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, and PC) and e-bookstore strategies.https://www.kindle.net.in/kindle-fire-sa...

For anyone else experiencing this issue, it could also be the resolution the TV is set to. On the remote press the 'up' and 'rewind' buttons at the same time for 5 seconds to cycle through the different resolutions.

My fire tv failed about a month after the window of being able to return it for a replacement. I tried using a different tv, different power cord, and everything outlined above. No matter what I did all I got was “no signal” on my tv. Eventually, I decided to take it apart and I heated it up with a hair dryer for 5 - 10 minutes or so till it was good and hot. Then let it cool down. Plugged it in, and it works fine again. Hope this helps someone else as a last resort.

Whenever you face the fire stick won’t turn on the issue just do the following steps to fix the problem.

  1. From the start, watch that your Amazon Fire TV is connected or not. In the event that, you haven’t unplugged it, attempt to educate the gadget utilizing the voice control include. For example, watch it, turn it on, and so forth. In the event that you keep on observing your fire stick showing a black screen, at that point take a stab at standing somewhat near the fire tv stick device.
  2. The next thing to do is to check the batteries that you embedded in the remote. In case, that you have not embedded them appropriately, your fresh out of the plastic new fire television stick won’t turn on. Additionally, ensure nobody covers the remote-control sensors as a joke.
  3. You will see no power in amazon fire tv stick if the fire tv has entered the sleep mode. To bring your device back in the active mode, press remote buttons & give commands for ensuring its not the real issue.

My Amazon Fire TV stuck after showing the Amazon logo was going into sleep mode and just would’nt turn on. I checked if the power adaptor was good. It was. I checked if the TVs HDMI port was good. It was. I reset the Fire TV stick by unplugging it from the power source and plugging it in again after 03 minutes. Again the Amazon logo showed for a brief while and then it was the same black screen. I tried pressing the select button of the remote to wake it up. I tried Alexa and gave commands to restart the stick. Nothing worked. I even tried resetting my surge protector and changing the positions of the Amazon adaptor. Nothing worked. At my wits end, I decided it had to simple. Yes it was. The extender dongle which was provided, which was bridging the gap between the TVs HDMI port and the HDMI port of the Amazon Fire Stick TV was the culprit. As soon as I disengaged the dongle and plugged the Fire TV stick directly into the TVs HDMI port it started working. The picture was a lot sharper. Obviously, since the extender dongle had gone bad it was not able to transmit the signals. That’s the solution. Hope it helps you.

Here are the quick solutions which might be solve your issues.

  • The distance of the Amazon Fire Stick remote from the device is a factor to consider. The remote works well when it is within 10 ft of the device. If you have a large room or hall, bring the remote closer to the TV, within the range.
  • The FireStick remote connects to the device via Bluetooth and not infrared rays. This means that the remote and FireStick do not have to be in the line of sight of each other. But, keeping the device inside a cabinet or in an enclosure might obstruct the signals. It will be a good idea to bring it out in the open to see if that’s what was causing the problem
  • Try not to keep a lot of electrical devices near FireStick as it may cause interference in the signal.

Just restart your Fire TV

Restart your TV to tackle the video issues as here-

First, disconnect the strength cord from the outlet and system and put it returned again.

Or use your far-flung to restart as press and maintain the Select button and then Play/Pause again at the equal time for five seconds.

Or, just go to the settings and devices; here in the menu clearly click on Restart.

2) Check for Intermittent Internet Connection

If your web is susceptible or signals have zeroed down, there would be video issues for sure in Fire TV. For HD movies you need a strong and continuous signal. You can check your community popularity in your Fire TV.

You need to talk to your ISP for a like-minded range of connection to tackle the video associated issue.

Amazon Firestick is a great and prominent streaming platform. However, sometimes they may encounter a problem while turning it on.

Why the Amazon Firestick won’t turn on and how to fix it?

Know the Reasons as well as solutions:

  1. Loose connections: It is vital to ensure that the configuration for Firestick is correct and that the HDMI connection is tight.
  2. To begin, unplug your Firestick from the wall or the back of your TV. Remove the power cord from the device and unplug it from the outlet. Reconnect the power cord by plugging it into the outlet as well.
  3. If your Fire Stick does not appear on your TV screen after turning it on, it may be due to the incorrect HDMI input. So, check the HDMI input and select the correct one.
  4. Restart the Fire Stick: Using the remote, press Select and Play for 10 seconds to restart your Fire Stick. A simple restart can fix loading issues and the black screen bug.
  5. It is best to plug your Fire Stick directly into a wall socket instead of using an adapter or surge protector.
  6. Try waiting at least 10 minutes if your Fire Stick is stuck on the logo loading screen.
  7. Test the Wi-Fi connection on your smartphone or another smart device. If it is not working, try troubleshooting it.
  8. Using a specific app won't connect your Fire Stick to the internet? Try another app to see if it is an app-specific problem.
  9. Try clearing the cache for Fire Stick if it is not loading content or apps.
  10. Last but not least, you can restore your Fire Stick factory settings via Settings > My Fire TV > Reset to Factory Defaults.
