from which manufacturer is that motherboard? You can check the manufacturer's guide on beep error codes.

Usually, a 3-beep error indicates a system memory error. If it is, please check your ram module if it is seated properly.

Hi Albert,

We can't accurately help you unless you tell us what make and model your motherboard is. You have only told us the socket name/number. Look around the board - usually in white ink also look for "Revision" or "Rev" or "R" with a number following.

But having said that if it is an Intel board:

3 beeps On-off (1.0 second each) three times, then 2.5-second pause (off). The pattern repeats until the computer is powered off.

Cause :Memory error

Solution:

  • Reseat the memory.
  • Make sure that the contacts on the memory and the socket are clean.
  • Try removing one bank of memory modules at a time. (Some systems can require a memory module in Bank 0.)
  • Try using memory modules from the same manufacturer with the same part number and speed.
  • Check for a faulty memory module by trying the memory in a known good system.

Older Board:

1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps Video configuration failure (a faulty video card or no card installed), or an external ROM module does not properly checksum to zero.

3 beeps First 64K memory failure.

A 3 beep error code for your motherboard is a memory problem

If you have two memory modules installed try starting the desktop with only one inserted.

If no good try the other one.

Here's the user manual (see p.37 →) to show how to remove, insert the modules.

Try doing this in memory slot B as well if it doesn't work when each module has been tried in slot A, in case it is a memory slot problem and not a memory module problem.

If I insert it in memory slot B it doesn't beep anymore but still no display and also no beep when I have 2 inserted

As there are no longer any beeps heard when 2 ram modules are inserted, I'm just verifying that now it boots up but with no display is this correct?

If so re-seating the ram modules seems to have fixed the 3 beep error code on startup.

Have you checked if the monitor is working OK by seeing if the monitor's menu screen works etc.? Usually most monitors allow some sort of adjustment using the controls on the monitor itself and this is displayed on the screen. have you tried a different known working monitor, you didn't say?

If the monitor is OK then is the monitor connected to the motherboard's vga port or is the monitor plugged into a GPU card inserted into a PCIe slot on the motherboard?

If a GPU card, remove the card and plug the monitor into the motherboard's vga port (if you have the appropriate cable etc) to see if there is a display using the integrated video from the i3 CPU.

If there is then there may be a problem with the GPU card

I have tested on 4 different monitors but stil no display and tested with and without gpu. When the display was working I bought a gpu to play better games but when I inserted it went on but no display but when I tried on motherboard vga port there wasn't display either and it is when the beep error started.
