Background and Identification
Fujitsu is an information technology services and equipment company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Fujitsu is the second oldest IT company, behind only IBM. Fujitsu was founded on June 20th of 1935. Fujitsu is responsible for manufacturing Japan's first computer, the FACOM 100 mainframe. Since these notable origins, Fujitsu has manufactured minicomputers, servers, business computers, and personal computers.
Today, Fujitsu sells a myriad of different technology-related products, including computers, software, air conditioning, networks, servers, storage, and more. Fujitsu also offers a variety of IT services, such as services for cybersecurity, digital workplaces, applications, businesses, etc.
Among the many industries that Fujitsu is present in is the laptop industry. Fujitsu laptops are marketed towards businesses with the goal of being both portable and powerful. Modern Fujitsu laptops, like the Fujitsu Lifebook U939X 2-in-1 convertible business laptop, compete with other popular laptops, including the HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3 and the Dell Latitude 7400.
Fujitsu laptops are thin, rectangular devices. They include a keyboard, trackpad, and screen. The Fujitsu logo is commonly located on the exterior of the casing with the word “Fujitsu” on the front center of the device, just below the screen. Fujitsu laptops come in multiple colors, although they are commonly black.
