sunjaibomma Amana AC common error codes

CODE = br

FAILURES STATUS = Brown Out Protection engaged. Power was lost or voltage is low.

DISPLAY = N

ERROR LIGHT = N

SUGGESTED ACTION = Check for incoming power at correct voltage.

Let us know what model your Amana is so that we can double check this.

Just unplug, wait 5 seconds, hold the heat and cool buttons down at the same time (not the plus and minus ones), plug unit back in while continuing to hold heat and cool buttons down, wait till red light appears next to off button. Done. This will clear the BR and reset unit back to factory defaults.

Check your circuit breaker if it's winter remove the thermostat and then put it back in if it's summer probably low on freon or dirty coils filters bower etc
