-I had the same problems. Wouldn't charge, screen kept turning itself off. I pulled the back off and disconnected the battery and could see that 3 of the 6 copper teeth on the motherboard (that the battery connector plugs into) had come off the motherboard and stuck themselves to the connector. No way to remove them without destroying them so I stacked two pieces of cutup old credit on top off the battery connector and snapped the cover back on. It's pretty tight in there already, so the additional pressure was enough to keep the connector pressed hard into the motherboard and the power connection complete. No more problems. Won't last forever, but it'll do the trick until I can sort something else out.
